The name of this book completely related to the content of the book. The book is called The Power of Nine because in the book we are discovering the history, abilities, and powers that number 9 has. Of course there are lots more on this book but number 9 is the character we discover more things about in this book and that is why the book is titles after him.

Well as I already told you in one of my previous posts there is a different narrator for each chapter. But all the time the narrator is one of the main or secondary characters you read about. Having several different narrators provide much more points of views, feelings, and opinions to the book. Since each narrator has a different feeling towards the action of the book then we can explain the 'why' of a lot of things. If there was just one narrator then we will just do not know about what other characters think or feel about a certain situation. I don't really like this kind of mystery so i'm glad there are several narrators in this book.

I guess the story would be different but not much. I mean, all of the story is happening because of the Mogodorians attacked Lorien, and the Lorien people were able to send 10 kids in spaceships to the earth. If the attack had happened a long time ago before it actually did then maybe the Lorien people wouldn't have the technology needed to accomplish the mission of saving those kids. Or, if the attack had happened in the future then maybe the Lorien people would have had the ability to defend themselves and there would be no need to send those kids to an unknown  planet.

But lets say it happened a long time ago and they were able to send the kids to Earth. It wold have been much more easier for the mogodorians to find the kids because there were less people living in the world than there is today. But, the Mogodorians would not have access to the social networks which really helped them to find the first few Lorien kids.

I just think that the story is perfect the way it it and that if it have happened in the past or in the future it would be completly different.

Now that they found out that there were 10 instead of 9 the sequence can be broken. Before they needed to be killed in order. 1,2,3 etc. But now they can kill whoever they se. for example when they needed to kill #1 but tried to killed #2 they just could not. They had to kill #1 before they could damage #2. But now that rule does not apply anymore and that's a mayor issue.

Even thought the main character of the story is John Smith (4), there are several characters narrating different chapters in the book. For example: John narrates chapter 1 and Sam narrates chapter 3. They eventually repeat the cycle until the book is over.

I know who narrates what because of 2 things. I can identify the narrator by using context clues and it actually says at the beginning of the chapter.

I've seen this type of narration in a few books now, recent books like Rick Riordan's Last Olympians series and Kane Chronicles series.  I find it useful since you can read what all characters are experiencing but sometimes you want to return when a certain charater is talking but you need to read several chapters before you get to him again.

In this book there are many principal and secondary characters. The book is divided into chapters of course, and each chapter is narrated by a different character. For example: John (number4) narrates chapter 1, Number 6 narrates chapter, Sam narrates chapter 3, etc; then they repeat the sequence.

The book counts with many narrators and characters, but the main and most important one is John Smith (number 4). John or #4 has been the main character of the series since book 1. There are more characters since book #1. For example: Sam, Sarah, and number 6. But as this book continues there are lots of new characters such as #9, #8, Marina (#7), and Ella (10).

John Smith (#4): He is the series's main character. He is in love with Sarah who was his girlfriend once.
Sam: He is John's best friend. Sam's father was a scientists who studied everything about the origins of the Mogodorians.
Number 6: Number is a female member of the team. She has the power of being fast and after training for her whole life she has gotten very strong and agile.
The rest of the characters are still revealing more information about them s

Also, the antagonist or antagonists are the Mogodorians and the Mogodorian leader who could be considered as a secondary or principal author as well.

Since the previous book, number 4, number 6 and Sam were separated. Sam was captured, number four found number nine and number 6 found number 10. Now they all need to find each other to become stronger. They are just missing to find a couple more members of the clan.

They need to find everyone to prevent more of them being killed.

I chose the book the rise of nine because of certain reasons. the most important reason on why i decided to read this book is, because i have already read the two books previous to this one in the series. in my opinion the previous books have been great and i don't think this book will be the exception.

The other reason is, i already had the book since last year but I still haven't read it. Since this a project i wanted to choose a book that i would actually enjoy reading.
